Overview

Streamline your business operations by granting support and operations teams secure, role-based access to critical transaction functions. This enables faster response times, reduces bottlenecks, and maintains robust security controls while allowing team members to efficiently resolve customer issues and manage day-to-day operations.

Cloud combines user permissions with audit trails so you can balance operational efficiency with risk management, ensuring your teams have exactly the access they need to excel in their roles.

Refund transactions

When processing a refund in BInk, the system automatically:

  1. Reverses the full amount from the destination back to the source.
  2. Creates a linked reference between the refund and original transaction.

You can process a refund in two ways:

  1. Click “Refund transaction” in the top right of the details page.
  2. Press R on your keyboard for quick access.

Follow the on-screen instructions, and the transaction will be refunded.

Inflight actions

A transaction will stay inflight indefinitely until it is acted upon or expired. There are two ways to act on an inflight transaction:

  • Commit: The transaction completes successfully, an APPLIED transaction is created and the funds move between balances.
  • Void: The transaction is canceled, a VOID transaction is created and any holds are released.

Commit transactions

BInk allows you to commit inflight transactions either fully or partially.

To commit the full amount:

  1. Select Commit transaction or press C on your keyboard
  2. Leave the ‘amount to commit’ field empty
  3. Click Commit transaction in the confirmation modal

For partial commits:

  1. Enter your desired amount in the ‘amount to commit’ field
  2. This creates a new linked transaction for the committed portion
  3. The remaining balance stays inflight
  4. For the final commit, you can leave the ‘amount to commit’ field empty

Void transactions

Voiding permanently cancels an inflight transaction and releases any remaining balance. This action is irreversible and affects both the current transaction and any remaining inflight amounts.

  1. Select Void transaction or press V on your keyboard
  2. Confirm your action in the modal
  3. The transaction status will update to VOID
