Overview

Enhance your compliance process by manually flagging records that require additional scrutiny or investigation.

This feature complements automated detection by letting your team flag suspicious patterns that automated rules might miss.

Flag an anomaly

You need to be on the details page of a balance, transaction, identity, or document to flag an anomaly. You can do this in one of two ways:

  1. To flag an anomaly, you can either:

    • Click the ••• icon in the top right of the details page, and select Flag item, or;
    • Use the keyboard shortcut F on a details page to flag the anomaly.
  2. Add any relevant notes in the popup dialog (recommended).

  3. Click Confirm to create the anomaly.

After flagging

When an item is flagged:

  • Blnk automatically assigns it to you
  • A new anomaly record is created
  • Team members with appropriate permissions are notified
  • The item appears with the FLAGGED status

Escalate anomalies

When you escalate an anomaly:

  • The anomaly is reassigned to the team member it is escalated to.
  • The new assignee gets an email notification.
  • The new assignee see the full anomaly history and records, ensuring seamless continuation of the investigation while maintaining the complete audit trail of all actions taken.
